Kailash Rathi
CORDUSA Raleigh Regional Head
Kailash has the honor of leading the local CORDUSA RDU chapter since 2023, collaborating with a dedicated team of talented individuals who share a common vision: to uplift the community through sustainable initiatives. The guiding philosophy of producing more than we consume and giving more than we take inspires him to engage deeply in the exceptional service that CORDUSA provides, both locally in the U.S. and internationally in the Indian subcontinent. With nearly 30 years of experience in the technology sector, particularly within the financial industry, he currently works at JP Morgan Chase.

Bhargavi Rao
Head of Programs and Community Partnerships
Bhargavi has been volunteering for CORDUSA since 2019. She is passionate about community service. CORDUSA’s mission of providing sustainable support to both local and global communities resonates with her. She has been volunteering as a teacher and mentor for students since 2011 and believes empowering our youth and women enables the whole community to move forward in a positive manner. She lives in the RTP area with her husband and two children. With a training in molecular biology, she has been working in the pharmaceutical industry for 11 years as a regulatory affairs professional.

Raj Daswani
Head of Finance
Raj has been a CORD volunteer for almost a decade, primarily supporting the annual 5K Run and volunteering as a teacher for nearly 15 years. He believes that we need to nurture our youth by channeling their energies into service and instilling good values that will help them grow into considerate, responsible, and productive adults. He resides in the RTP area with his wife and two boys. Professionally, Raj is a Senior Data Analyst at a digital marketing company and has previously held various roles in software engineering, project management, and product management.

Srividya Venkat
Board Member
Srividya Venkat has been a dedicated volunteer with CORD for over 10 years, supporting the organization since its inception in 2014. Immigrating from India to the United States almost 30 years ago, Srividya has a deep and personal connection to CORD’s values and mission. Giving back to the community and supporting those in need has been a lifelong commitment for her. Professionally, Srividya has worked in the financial sector since the early 2000s and currently serves as a Financial Planning and Analysis Reporting Manager at a Medical Device company in RTP. Outside of work and volunteering, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their three boys, whether it’s enjoying the outdoors through camping and hiking, gathering around for board games, or simply relaxing at home with their two dogs.

CORD4RDU Leadership Team
Viren Sadhwani, Board Member
Viren, a sophomore at Leesville Road High School in North Raleigh, volunteers with CORDUSA due to his passion for service and fulfillment from completed projects. He is particularly attached to environmental causes, like the Cedar Hills stream cleanup, which holds a special place in his heart. While volunteering offers many selfless benefits, Viren is personally motivated by the positive emotions that come with making a difference.
Diyaa Sarath, Board Member and Outreach Coordinator
Diyaa, a sophomore at Green Level High School, contributes to the official CORDUSA website while actively volunteering. Her involvement with CORDUSA has been transformative, helping her grow personally and develop valuable skills. Through her work, Diyaa has connected with inspiring individuals and gained a deeper understanding of teamwork and the impact of community service.
Aneesha Chugh, Board Member
Aneesha, a sophomore at Enloe High School, loves being part of CORDUSA. Through her contributions, she’s grown as a leader while making a positive impact in the community. Helping others has been a rewarding experience that inspires her to keep giving back. She’s proud to be part of a team dedicated to making a difference.
Sudarshan Praveen, Board Member
Sudarshan is a sophomore in Enloe High School. CORD is a way to serve a purpose greater than just himself. Through CORD, Sudarshan is able to play an active role in making his community a better place. CORD provides a variety of opportunities, from stream cleanups to senior center events, so he is able to try new things, which he loves doing. As part of CORD, Sudarshan is able to help his community, and have lots of fun while doing so.
Sameer Daswani, Board Member and Content Creator
Sameer is a sophomore at Green Hope High School. Sameer works on the official CORDUSA website and helps run social media pages. He has been participating in CORDUSA events since he was 5, and jumped at the opportunity to help out the community!
Shruti Bhat, Board Member
Shruti is a junior at Green Hope High School and manages the CORDUSA Raleigh Instagram page, sharing with the community the activities done by CORDUSA Raleigh youth and adults. She joined CORDUSA because she wanted to serve her local community, whether cleaning up trash in a stream or off the highway, serving food to the poor or making cards for our troops.
