Each year, we choose causes to support that are close to the CORD community’s heart. In addition to local initiatives, we collaborate with our parent organization to raise funds and awareness for impactful causes in rural India, working to create lasting change where it is needed most. This year, your generous contributions will support two causes:

1. The Wake County Women’s Center

Funds raised will aid The Women's Center, a local non-profit organization providing critical services to women who are facing homelessness in Wake County. Through their programs, women receive safety, stability, and transformative support to rebuild their lives.

2. Building Skills & Opportunity in Rural India

We're also committed to building a facility in rural India that will host income-generation, skill-based programs for workers in rural villages. This initiative will create sustainable economic opportunities and empower community members with valuable skills for long-term independence.

Get Involved

We need volunteers to make our run possible! Our volunteers are the heart of CORD's mission, working behind the scenes and on the frontlines to ensure our fundraising run goes smoothly, so your support is crucial to the success of our event.

Volunteers assist with various run-day and pre-event activities including:

• Course setup and management

• Registration and check-in

• Water stations and runner support

• Photography and social media coverage

• Sponsor and vendor coordination

• Post-event cleanup
